The European Union of Rechtspfleger again in the European Parliament

On 20 January 2011 the European Ambassador of the European Union of Rechtspfleger (EUR) Mr. Jean-Jacques KUSTER met the member of the European Parliament (MEPs) Mrs Birgit SIPPEL in Strasbourg. He presented the Green Paper, the EUR made for a European Rechtspfleger and proposed to bring in the green paper for discussion in the European Parliament so that a recommendation could be adopted by Parliament on the introduction of the profession in Europe.

He also pointed to the study by the CEPEJ which was published at October the 25th in 2010 and presented Chapter 8 the functions of Rechtspfleger and Greffiers in 45 European countries.

Mr. Kuster emphasized that the introduction of the European Rechtspfleger/Greffier would mean a significant step towards a more efficient and citizen-oriented justice at the present situation and also helps to relieve the judge.

Mrs. Sippel has taken the Green Paper with great interest and wants to talk about it with their colleagues in the Committee of Justice of the Parliament.

The E.U.R., as it was done yet, will continue leading talks to the European Parliament to promote the project "European Rechtspfleger”.
