Investment in the future of the Rechtspfleger

The Federation of German Rechtspfleger – The national association Rheinland-Pfalz – held on 29th of September 2010 its Rechtspflegerday 2010 in Mainz.

Theme of the event was the Rechtspfleger – an investment in a secure future. The General Secretary of the European Union of Rechtspfleger (E.U.R.), Heidi Hell, stressed in her speech that it is worth the investment. The Rechtspfleger is now one of Germany´s most important organs of justice. This is the due of his extensive responsibilities as the Director at the courts and prosecutors, and the fact that he is an independent decision-maker. In Rheinland-Pfalz estate and commercial property register are already fully transferred to the Rechtspfleger. Nevertheless, repeated again and again the discussion regarding the transfer of the estate matters to notaries. Because such a decision will cut the various provinces, is threatening a national fragmentation. Mrs. Bright pointed out that this is for the European process would not be conducive because the destruction of the currently functioning system would interfere with the continuing European integration. For this reason alone is worth further investment to maintain the profession of Rechtspfleger in Germany, she added.

The General Secretary thanked especially the Rechtspfleger from Rheinland-Pfalz, which had taken part in the congress in Cuneo, Italy, because this shows their great interest in the work of the E.U.R..
